PREFACE

Your handwriting is a picture of yourself that you may never have seen. This book shows you how to look at handwriting to discover personality and character differences and then apply psychological knowledge to profit from this new information. Graphology is the science of finding out about a person’s character from his handwriting. Combine this with psychology and you have the theme of this volume: Psychographology.

Because handwriting is a universal means of communication and expression, it is the basis of finding important personality information, not only about yourself but about other people that you are interested in.

The book is organized simply so that you can read it quickly. Illustrations are located immediately following the text discussions so that you will understand promptly just what is being described. Instead of following a straight format, the various sections of the book have been styled to accommodate the sense of the material.

This is not a book to read and set aside. It contains a complete section on Graphology so that it can be used as a continuous reference work on handwriting analysis. This basic material will have to be read many times before it will be mastered.

There is also a list of personality “types” so that you can classify people quickly when you have only a little time to study their handwriting.

A special group of “Grapho-Guides” has been included for the person who cannot wait to finish the book but who needs to try out his new handwriting knowledge immediately. These will serve to answer a number of the most common questions that people want answered about themselves and others.

Proceed cautiously with this new information. Do not make the mistake of thinking that the mere reading of this book and the memorizing of its principles will turn you into a better person. Whether or not you will benefit personally depends on how you use this information. Intelligent effort will point you in the right direction and help you foil failure.

If you stay with Psychographology, increasing your psychological knowledge along with your handwriting analysis facts, you should enjoy a richness of experience that will surprise and please you.
